How the Shockwave Burst Indicator Works
It identifies potential breakouts by detecting when moving averages squeeze together and then expand with increasing momentum.
Unlike ordinary moving average signals, Shockwave Burst waits for the gap between the averages to expand strongly for two consecutive candles, with price closing beyond both averages — filtering out minor fluctuations and focusing on breakouts with stronger directional movement.

Shockwave signal animation
A bright flash bursts under the candle for BUY (blue) or over it for SELL (red). While the trade runs the rings keep rippling outward, and when it closes they settle into a calm marker — never covering your candles.

What is Shockwave?
An indicator for MetaTrader 4/5 that finds squeeze breakouts. It spots quiet periods when the market builds up energy, then shows you the moment that energy is released in a strong move up or down. Every signal comes with an entry, a stop loss and three take-profit levels, and Shockwave follows the trade for you until it ends.
Does Shockwave repaint?
No. Signals are checked on closed candles only, and each candle is processed only once. When a signal appears, it stays exactly where it is — the history you see is what you would have seen in real time.
What is break-even after TP1?
When TP1 is reached, Shockwave moves the stop to the entry price, so the rest of the trade can no longer turn into a loss. You can switch this off.
Do I have to follow the TP1/TP2/TP3 plan?
No. It’s a suggested framework. You can take profit at any level, or manage the trade your own way.
What is the difference between LOW, NORMAL and HIGH?
LOW waits for longer squeezes and stronger bursts — fewer signals, but only the clearest setups. NORMAL is the recommended balance. HIGH accepts shorter squeezes and earlier bursts — more signals and faster entries, but also more false starts.
What does CUSTOM do?
CUSTOM uses your own values from the settings: how tight the squeeze must be, how many candles it must last, how strong the burst must be, how long Shockwave waits for it, and the cooldown between signals.
Which markets can I use it on?
Any symbol in your MetaTrader 4/5: forex pairs, gold and silver, indices, oil, crypto and stocks. Squeezes and breakouts happen in every market.
What does the HTF filter do?
It lets you take signals only in the direction of the bigger trend. With NEXT TF, the next higher timeframe must agree (on H1, that is H4). With ALL 3 TFS, all three higher timeframes must agree. With OFF, every signal is shown.
Can I change the dashboard colours?
Yes. The DashTheme setting offers 7 themes: Compass White (default), Cyber Cyan, Solar Gold, Violet Neon, Matrix Green, Ice Graphite and Ember Red.
What does the PRESSURE meter show?
How far the averages have opened compared with the burst level. When it fills up, a burst is close.
